feelings - September 2008

wedding plans

I realize that Sunday is not the best of days to post but it seems that I have less and less time to do it.

Somehow the wedding is all coming together now that I am leaving a lot for other adults to sort out for themselves and their children who are some of my attendants.

My own dress is coming along like a dream, I have a wonderful dressmaker and I am becoming increasingly more confident that she will have the dress finished well ahead of time.

It's just three weeks to the wedding and I am still losing weight, so Andrew is bringing over some takeaway later to fatten me up.

I shall have a good sleep before he comes and then we should be able to relax and enjoy our rare snatch of time together.

I don't really think there'll be another post before the marriage and the Honeymoon, I am just simply running out of time.

Andrew is displaying his dominance and I am all too happy to go along with it right now, my energy levels are very low whereas his are thriving.

He says the day cannot come fast enough for him.

I guess he thinks he's waited long enough whereas sex is the last thing on my mind right now.

But I am so glad that I am having a traditional wedding in a Church followed by a big reception.

Everyone keeps on telling me how lucky I am and I can only agree with that.

Incidentally, I am wondering what sort of wedding my readers had, or if they are not yet ready what sort of wedding they would like to have.

It would be really interesting to know, there is so much I could write about at present but really there is just so little time.

I really am going to have to watch that my weight comes back up again or else this beautiful wedding gown just will not fit and that simply would not do, would it?

engagement presents

Well the engagement party was a roaring success as are all mother's parties and dad is always good at getting the jokes flowing and Andrew and I certainly bore the brunt of those.

And you've guessed it, everyone thought we already had everything we could possibly want so many of the gifts carried with them a humorous flair, from a garden shovel, accompanied by great mirth and speculation as to who of the two of us would be doing any gardening to some barbecue tools.

We were forced to bear it all good naturedly and really it was quite funny.

And they were right, we really did not need presents or even money and the wedding gifts were going to be an even greater problem.

I did receive quite a few novel items for the kitchen and really had to laugh when they gave Tinkerbelle a new fancy bowl, and is that Andrew and I there do you think?

But the food was delicious, the music great and really I think a good time was had by all.

So that is just one more step along the way to our fast galloping up wedding day, and although I am looking forward to it and things have now started to progress well may I urge all the rest of you to take things a little more slowly, as rushing things is really very stressful indeed.

I can understand why couples just run off to Gretna Green.

But, again, I pose the question, just what do you give for presents to people who appear to have everything?
