Tinkerbelle and Crystal play house and garden.

I am just so thrilled. Tinkerbelle has her new cat run and she loves it.
The men arrived early yesterday morning, as usual, and they were hard at it early.
I daren't look outside as everything just seemed so much of a mess.
It was not quite so noisy as the day before, but the men seemed to be falling over each other as they got things together. The mesh arrived and my new pots and the posts were already in place. I could hear the men coming in and out down the other side of the house which is a much wider area than the side on which the run is placed.
The noise had stopped by 11.00 and I could hear them using shovels and brooms. Suddenly they all disappeared again. Just as had happened the day before. There was a gentle knock at the door and there was Bob, smiling at me. "All finished" he said, then he invited me to go outside with him and look around.
We left Tinkerbelle inside and Bob explained to me how everything worked, how it would look when it had the vines and flowers growing over it, showed me the earthy sections where Tinkerbelle could have her little scratches and showed me my new blue glazed pots with the small trees in them which I had approved the day before. They were so beautiful, large and curved and a sort of metallic royal blue of rather a deep shade, almost but not quite navy. I had never seen such attractive pots but then again, they were expensive.
The wire run looked very sparse but the curved ceiling gave the impression of walking through a bower if one used one's imagination about the briar roses and other things which would cover it.
There was the small section, covered with shadecloth about half way down, rather than have an ugly section of the principal structure which had a semi pyramid style roof, and Bob explained that whatever the direction of the sun this section would always be shaded and protection from the rain as well so kitty could go outside in any weather. I must admit he was a good salesman, and they had cleaned up beautifully which especially pleased me. I could see the newly turned earth but there was none on the footpath and no trace could be seen of the work that had been done. It was all immaculate. I guess you do get what you pay for.
He accompanied me back inside and presented me with an invoice with the cost of the pots and trees added, which expense I had agree to. I wrote out his cheque and he tucked it into his shirt pocket, you know the way men do.
I'll just remove the tape from inside the cat door for you. It's quite strong and will need some pulling. That having been done he said he' leave it up to kitty and I to get to know the new shelter and how to get in and out.
Smilingly he looked at me, then said, smoothly and effortlessly and without blinking an eyelid that he'd like to take me out to dinner and would I be free on Friday night.
Taken rather aback I inclined my head in agreement and he arranged to collect me at 7.30, which would give me time to shower and change after a day's work. He mentioned the name of the place he was taking me to and said they had music and dancing and their menu was first class and the service always good.
With that he departed and I took a few minutes just sitting with kitty in the sunroom with the cat door and Tinkerbelle went and looked out the door, her door, then back at me. I guess she missed having the tape to play with.
The rest of the day was spent with my going outside, leaving pussy in and encouraging her to use the door. When she finally got the message we played cat and mouse, the minute I got back inside she'd go outside and so it went on and then she'd dsappear in her run taking herself up to the back of the garden and finding nice little spots for her to settle down on.
I went back outside and into the run, after all, I could not get through the cat door, I always had to go the long way around. We had several sessions of my showing cat how to dig in the dirt and by the end of the day she'd actually 'gone', but I'd have to leave the cat litter inside until the weekend until she realized that was not going to be available any longer.
It was such a lovely afternoon, I felt just so cosy and so relaxed and I just loved watching kitty explore. It would be back to work to-morrow, which is now today and my little 'holiday' would be over.
Tinkerbelle was now mistress of her own domain. She obviously loved it.
I was feeling fine, it was such a rewarding time.
How often do any of us just take that time out to explore our emotions and just enjoy ourselves. Feelings are as diverse as the weather conditions, they should find their own expression, not be suppressed all the time to help us cope with work and other pressures. But such things do take time.
Well, it's back to work and I feel suppressed already.

Mine was a light hearted frivolous 'obscene' not a technical one.
Is that better?
