Does going to work on Monday worry you on Sunday?
April 13th 2008 10:40
Sunday night is not the best time to write a post but it is difficult for me to find time at all.
I don't know how others cope.
I was delighted to have your responses to my last post, telling me how YOU feel, at least that's a start.
At this moment I am feeling relaxed and happy but already there is a certain tension building up when I think of going to work to-morrow, somehow since I've met Andrew I just don't want to go anymore and I am definitely thinking and feeling that we should get married, not that I'm about to tell Andrew that just yet, but I'm pretty sure we'll be on our honeymoon before Christmas.
Knowing I am not really the domesticated type will impose a few difficulties as if I stay at home I shall not have anything much to do.
So I shall probably keep on working for a while, but as soon as I'm pregnant I shall be off.
I have thought about learning the piano, I did it for a few years when I was young before my passion for ballet took over so I could pick it up again and become a piano teacher part time. I think I would like that, but it seems it is difficult to do anything with young children around.
Then again with so much modern machinery and an above average income it should not be difficult to find some hours to myself but I don't really want to leave my children with other people. This could impose a dilemma although I suppose the more children you have the less fussy you become, I think my maximum would be four, but I think I'd better see how I go with one or two first.
The thought thrills me but unsettles me.
I guess I'm leaping too far ahead here as really what I need to cope with right now is thinking about tomorrow. This always happens to me every Sunday night and some of my friends tell me it starts worrying them by mid afternoon on the Sunday and I am wondering why, I have been working long enoough for the same company and I am very competent at my job so what is worrying me.
I've never been able to work it out.
So do you worry about going to work on Monday any earlier than the day itself or is it just me and some of my friends. I think it happens more with females than with males.
How do you feel about your working life and do you worry about Mondays?

My definition of hell: waking up one morning with nothing meaningful to do. That's where parenting fills in nicely; your time is always spoken for and meaningful.

Each to their own but I think life is too short to hate your job, i prefer to have less money and love what I do again.

Louie, I don’t hate my job, I just get a bad case of Monday – itis, and after all we do all have to earn a living which can be hard work, as I myself know. Many would share my views.
Damo, you’ve come up with a great idea there, stay in bed.
